What a year.
This year had us busy both near and far. From shows with some of our favorite artists and designers here in LA, to a pop-up in New York, a workshop in the High Desert, and a Poketo Retreat in Ojai, it was a hectic but happy 2015.
As longtime Dusen Dusen fans, our collaboration with designer Ellen Dusen in creating new Poketo Design planners and notebooks has got us glowing. What started out in 2010 as a women’s clothing line has moved its eclectic and bright prints to linens, stationery, and beyond. In this mini Q&A, we dig deeper into the life of Ellen– her hopes for the line, what she does to relax, and her favorite ice cream flavor.

Block Shop Textiles marries the traditional Indian hand block printing process with a modern California aesthetic. We had the opportunity to learn from Hopie and Lily about their unique craft involving an entirely manual process of designing, printing with wooden blocks, and dyeing in small batches – the same Indian tradition for more than three centuries. keep reading
On September 18, we opened a new show featuring Satsuki Shibuya’s latest collection of watercolors. Her new show, titled “FLOW,” featured twenty pieces of fine abstract watercolor – each following a unique intuition, energy and spirit. The blend of art and spiritual meditation created a contemplative atmosphere in the store, leaving all of us amazed. keep reading
