Poketo is proud to present Ben Medansky Ceramics at Poketo, an exhibition of ceramic works by Los Angeles based ceramicist and artist Ben Medansky.
For the exhibition, Medansky has designed a limited collection of mugs exclusively for Poketo, which will be available for purchase during the duration of the show at the Poketo store. The show will also include Medansky’s more recognizable works, as well as new pieces from his studio that will be on display for the first time. In correlation with the exhibition, Medansky will be leading a terracotta workshop at Poketo. More news to come on the workshop, stay tuned!
Catering for the opening reception will be provided by Urban Palate
About Ben Medansky:
Ben Medansky has been working as a ceramicist for the greater part of his life, assisting in the studios of Peter Shire, Kelly Lamb, and the Haas Brothers. His designs are notable for their architectural structures and use of vibrant primary colors, particularly the Yves Klein blue that is a recurring element in his work. The importance of function is evident in his design, although his pieces are undoubtedly aesthetically driven- Medansky’s ability to turn a utilitarian object such as a cup or bowl into an objet d’art that is both functional and beautiful has resulted in him becoming one of LA’s most significant artists working in ceramics today. He has been featured on Sight Unseen, Apartment Therapy, and LA I’m Yours, and his work is sold around the globe.
